We are official stockists of Birlea Beds. All our Birlea Beds come with a manufacturer’s warranty, and are available for free delivery to all our UK mainland customers.
Our Birlea Beds are delivered on a 7-10 working day delivery service, as standard when ordered before 1pm. The courier will be in direct contact with yourself to arrange your delivery. We recommend that all customers supply us with a valid contact number during the checkout procedure, as this will ensure the courier can contact you directly. Failure to supply a contact number will cause unavoidable delays to your delivery.
Deliveries will be booked in directly between the courier and our customer. The courier will notify you with a minimum of 3 days’ notice of your delivery information. The courier will advise you if your delivery is going to be an AM or PM delivery slot.
Our 7-10 day service is carried out on a one-man delivery service. The courier driver will deliver your goods to a room of choice, dependant on accessibility. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the area leading to the room of choice is free from clutter and accessible. The courier driver has the right to refuse delivery to a room of choice should the area be deemed as inaccessible or hazardous.
Birlea Beds are exempt from the Saturday delivery service. Due to the cost of deliveries from our Derbyshire warehouse, deliveries to DG, EH, FK, G, KA, KY, ML and TD postcode areas will incur a £40 delivery charge, and will take approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery. The £40 delivery charge will be automatically added to the basket area during checkout for customers residing in the above postcode areas. Should the charge not be applied, due to a technical issue, BedSOS will contact you directly to seek payment for the delivery. Should you refuse to pay the charge we will have no alternative but to cancel the order and issue a refund.
Unfortunately we are unable to process orders of Birlea Beds to any AB, DD, IV, PA and PH postcode areas at this present moment in time. This is due to the additional costs involved for delivery being far higher than the above charge, at £75+ VAT. We are not willing to subject our potential customers to such charges, and therefore we regret that we are unable to process orders to these postcode areas at this time. Should an order from one of these postcode areas come through to ourselves, due to a technical issue, we will instruct the customer of the delivery charge and should they opt to accept the charge we may honour their request and take payment for the delivery charge of £75+ VAT.
The customer must inspect all goods for any damages prior to signing for the goods. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that either the customer or a nominated adult over the age of 18 years is home during the allocated delivery slot to take delivery of the goods. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
We use Tuffnells, XDP Express, Yodel and DX Freight as our courier services. We can now offer FREE Next Day delivery (unless stated otherwise) within England & Wales, some Scottish Highland and remote areas are exempt from Next Day delivery and will be sent via a specialist delivery service which has a lead time of between 3-5 working days, if you order before 1pm Monday to Thursday. We CANNOT offer Next Day Delivery service on orders dispatched on Friday's (unless Saturday Delivery is purchased during the checkout process) as these will arrive on Monday's due to our terms with the couriers. We do not process or deliver any orders on Bank Holidays. Orders paid for over the weekend will be processed and dispatched on Monday's, except on Bank Holidays. Schedule a Delivery
If you do not want ‘Next Working Day Delivery’ and you would prefer to schedule a delivery you can arrange an alternative delivery date via the checkout process FREE of charge. Saturday deliveries are also available, at an additional charge of £30.00, which is selectable during checkout. A select few of our brands do not offer the option for pre-scheduled delivery and/ or Saturday delivery. These brands are as follows:
Julian Bowen and Birlea beds and furniture are exempt from pre-scheduled delivery and Saturday delivery. Core Products are exempt from Saturday delivery. This is due to the goods being shipped via a specialist delivery service. Through experience we have found that using such specialist delivery services on these specific brands minimises the risk of damage during the courier service. Due to the use of such a specialist courier service, the delivery lead times on these products are 7-10 working days for Julian Bowen and Birlea, and 5-7 working days for Core Products. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers.
PLEASE NOTE: Deliveries are usually anywhere between 8am – 6pm. We cannot give you an estimated time of arrival on deliveries, as the couriers are not part of our company and deliveries are strictly based around the driver’s route for that day. Also, we cannot offer deliveries on Sunday's or national bank holidays as our courier’s do not offer this service. The period stated in which you will receive your order is approximate. Goods will be sent to the address given in your order and stated in the Order Confirmation, subject to your payment passing the security checks which are put in place to protect us from potential online fraud. If you live in Northern Scotland or rural areas of the UK please contact us on 0844 357 0428 Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm before placing an order as sometimes we have to charge a small courier fee to these locations.
PLEASE NOTE: if you live in any of the following postcode areas; AB, FK, KW, IV, PA and PH there will be a delivery fee to pay of £40, to discuss this please contact us on 0844 357 0428 before placing your order. If you commit to placing the order and live in any of these postcode areas, the charge will be automatically added during the checkout procedure. Should the charge not be added, due to a technical issue, we will contact you directly to take payment of the charge. These charges are imposed via the courier service. If you do not agree to these charges we will have no alternative but to cancel the order and issue a full refund. Delivery lead time to these postcode areas is strictly 3-5 working days, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Birlea beds and Birlea furniture are not available to AB, DD, IV, PA and PH postcode areas at this present moment in time. This is due to the additional costs involved for delivery being far higher than the usual £40 charge, at £75+ VAT. We are not willing to subject our potential customers to such charges, and therefore we regret that we are unable to process orders for the Birlea brand to these postcode areas currently. Customers ordering Birlea beds and/ or Birlea furniture who reside in DG, EH, FK, G, KA, KY, ML and TD postcode areas will incur a £40 delivery charge, and these deliveries will take approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery. We understand that this may be frustrating to customers and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, these charges are down to the couriers themselves and not ourselves.
Julian Bowen products are not available on the 7-10 working day delivery service to the following postcode areas:
PA, KY, DD, IV, FK, PH, AB, KW
PLEASE NOTE: Although every effort will be made to deliver Julian Bowen goods to the above postcode areas within the 7-10 working day period, these deliveries usually take anywhere between 2-3 weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Ireland, Republic of Ireland & Islands
Due to delivery costs at this present moment in time we do not deliver to Ireland, Republic of Ireland or any of the UK surrounding Islands. If you reside in one of these areas and place an order with ourselves, your order will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued.
I have refused delivery of an item
If you refuse delivery of goods, you will be subject to the delivery charge incurred via ourselves for the courier to return the goods to ourselves. Refusing a delivery incurs a delivery charge fee of £40.00, which will be deducted from your original payment.
Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item bought on this website for a full refund. This does not apply to:
• Items collected in store.
• Bespoke goods.
• Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if unsealed after delivery.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to health and hygiene reasons (and the policies in place with the manufacturers of our memory foam mattresses) Bed SOS regrets to inform that we are unable to accept returns of unsuitable memory foam mattresses which have been unsealed from their original packaging, unless deemed to be incorrect due to an error on our behalf, or deemed faulty by the manufacturer. We may, however, offer a refund based on Diminished Value. Please contact us on: 0844 357 0428 to discuss this matter further.
To cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations you must email email@example.com or call 0844 357 0428. You, the customer, are responsible for returning cancelled goods at a cost to yourself. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org so that one of our team can supply you with the appropriate return address.
You can cancel anytime from placing your order up to the end of a period 14 days after you take possession of the goods (or in the case of a multiple order, the last part of the order).
Please take reasonable care of the goods, as we are entitled to deduct an amount from the refund to reflect any loss in value of the goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling of the goods by you.
Please make it clear when you cancel that you are cancelling under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations.
